Create Your Account

First, you'll need an Anthropic account. If you don't have one, sign up here (opens in a new tab).

Get Your API Key

After signing up, create your API key on the API Keys page (opens in a new tab). This key is essential for authenticating your requests against the Anthropic API. If you already have a key, simply copy it to your clipboard.

Configure the Plugin

Next, you'll need to configure the plugin to use the API key, version, and model:

• Navigate to the plugin's settings via File > Settings/Preferences > Tools > CodeGPT > Providers > Anthropic.

• Paste your API key into the designated field.

• The plugin automatically sets the anthropic-version value. If you want to use older versions, find more information here (opens in a new tab).

• Select a model for messages and commands from the list below:
